My Story and Mission

Hello, and thank you for stopping by! My name is Stephanie Slawson, and preserving memories is truly the work of my heart.

My journey into photo and home movie digitizing began with a very personal project. A few years ago, I decided to surprise my parents for Christmas by digitizing all of their more than 7,000 loose photos and dozens of home videos. It was a massive undertaking, but it turned out to be the most meaningful Christmas gift our family has ever shared.

I chose to learn how to do it myself because I couldn’t bring myself to trust those irreplaceable memories to the mail or a big-box store that ships everything to a central processing center. I wanted every single photo and tape handled with care — and now, I bring that same level of care to every client I serve.

Along the way, I discovered that this work is my passion and my purpose. I don’t just scan photos and slides; I restore their color, crop and adjust them for the best presentation, and make sure important details are preserved. If a photo has dates, names, or notes written on it, I include that information right in the file name so those memories stay connected to their stories. I also take the time to organize everything thoughtfully, so when you receive your digital files, they make sense and flow naturally — it's not just a random folder of images.

I can also digitize home movies from most types of old camcorder and video recorder tapes and VHS tapes, as well as film reels, so that those cherished memories can play again for you and your loved ones to relive together.

At the beginning of 2025, I unexpectedly lost my dad. Having all of those photos and home movies easily accessible was an incredible comfort to our family. For his funeral, I created a tribute slideshow that captured his life and legacy — and through that experience, I realized how meaningful it is to help others do the same.
